Grilled Chicken Breasts with Honey BBQ Sauce

Ingredients
4 Brookshire’s Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
2 Tbs olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
4 oz tomato puree
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 Tbs honey
1 Tbs molasses
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
Directions
- Place chicken in a large zip-top bag.
- Add the oil, 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of pepper.
- Seal the bag.
- Rub the seasoning into the chicken. Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour or overnight.
- Combine the barbecue sauce ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring to a simmer.
- Cook for 5 minutes.
- Let cool to room temperature.
- Clean the grill surface.
- Heat grill to medium. Spray the grill with nonstick spray.
- Place the chicken on the grill, top-side down.
- Cook for 5 minutes or until chicken releases easily from the grates.
- Turn, and baste with the sauce.
- Continue to turn and baste every 2 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
- Remove from grill.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.
