Ingredients
1 jar maraschino cherries (need 18 to 24 cherries)
16 oz cherry cola
2 oz rum
ice-pop molds and treat sticks
Directions
- Separate the cherries from the cherry juice. Keep the juice and cherries. Cut the cherries in half. Place 3 to 6 cherry halves in each ice-pop mold. Pour the cherry juice over the cherries in each mold to fill 1/3 of each mold. Cover, and let freeze for at least 4 hours.
- When cherry juice is frozen, move on to the next step. Pour the cola over the cherries and juice in each mold, leaving 1/4 inch of headspace in each mold.
- Cover. Place a treat stick down into each ice pop, pushing firmly and into the frozen cherry portion. Let freeze overnight.
- When ready to serve, gently remove the ice pops. If needed, dip the molds into lukewarm water for a few seconds to loosen the ice pops. (Do not immerse in water.
